Training Resources for Competitive Junior Golfers

At Pacific Golf Academy, we don’t recommend gear unless it improves swing mechanics, sequencing, and body awareness — not just “feel good” results.

Why Our Coaches Use GravityFit in Player Development

We work with junior and competitive golfers every day. Most swing issues don’t come from “bad technique” — they come from poor movement patterns, weak sequencing, and a lack of body awareness.

GravityFit helps our players develop:

  • Hip rotation awareness under speed

  • Proper upper-lower body sequencing

  • Core stability through the swing

  • Balance and posture during transition

We integrate this system into both our indoor technical training and on-course development programs to help players build movements that transfer into real performance, not just range results.

How We Integrate GravityFit Into Real Training Sessions

Step 1 — Movement Patterning (No Ball)

Players first learn how their body should move without worrying about ball contact. This builds awareness of rotation, posture, and balance.

Step 2 — Slow-Speed Swings

Using GravityFit at controlled speeds, players develop core engagement and proper sequencing. This is where most long-term swing changes are built.

Step 3 — Transfer to Full Swing

The training system is removed, but the movement pattern remains. This ensures the tool improves real golf swings, not just drill performance.

Who This System Is Best For?

Best for:

  • Junior golfers ages 8–18

  • Competitive players working on rotation, posture, and sequencing

  • Families looking for structured at-home training support

  • Players preparing for tournament golf

Not ideal for:

  • Players looking for quick fixes

  • Very young beginners without coaching guidance

  • Anyone unwilling to follow a structured training plan

Frequently Asked Questions

  • While GravityFit can be used independently, we strongly recommend guided instruction. Without a training plan, players often perform the movements incorrectly, which limits results or reinforces bad habits. Our students receive specific drills and progressions to ensure the tool improves their actual swing mechanics.

  • This system works best for players who already understand basic golf movements. Very young beginners may benefit more from foundational coaching before introducing structured resistance training.

  • Most players benefit from short, consistent sessions. We typically recommend 10–20 minutes per session, two to three times per week, depending on age, training load, and tournament schedule.

  • When used correctly and at appropriate resistance levels, it is safe. We recommend starting at low resistance and focusing on controlled movement rather than force or speed.
